TCEB and VISA Unveil Exclusive MICE Privileges Campaign Discover the Enchanting Allure of Thailand’s Premier MICE Experiences with Exclusive Benefits through the “Thailand MICE Visa Prepaid Card”

September 11, 2024, Bangkok – The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), in collaboration with Visa, T2P Co., Ltd., and Central Group, the leading retail and service provider in Thailand, has launched the "Thailand MICE Privileges" campaign. This marketing initiative is designed to promote Thailand’s MICE industry through the "Thailand MICE Visa Prepaid Card". The card offers exclusive benefits to MICE travelers and SME operators. These benefits include Welcome Offers, such as vouchers for shopping discounts at Central and Robinson Department Stores, a 17% discount on accommodation at Centara Hotels & Resorts across Thailand. Other partners’ privileges include a 15% discount on limousine services, 10% off dining, up to 60% off transportation services, complimentary airport luggage storage twice a year, one free luggage delivery annually, up to 25% off hotel stays, as well as discounts on shopping, spa packages, and meeting package. The launch of the campaign and the prepaid card took place at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Ballroom 1-2, 7th Floor.

These offerings not only enhance the MICE travel experience but also encourage increased spending and longer stays in Thailand. Additionally, cardholders will have the opportunity to join TCEB’s business network, keeping them informed of marketing activities and events.”

TCEB recognizes the potential of business entrepreneurs, MICE travelers, and SME operators in maximizing the advantages of this card to grow business opportunities and foster business growth. By 2025, TCEB aims to have 30,000 Thailand MICE Visa Prepaid Card holders, with an anticipated 5% increase in per head, per trip spending of MICE travelers. 

The launch of Thailand MICE Visa Prepaid Card is part of the drives towards the 2025 target of TCEB. 

Aiming to attract 34 million MICE travelers, the bureau expects the combined spending of both domestic and overseas MICE travelers will reach THB 200 billion, contributing to income distribution into the Thailand economy at the value of THB 400 billion baht and boosting Thailand into a high value-added destination.

The Thailand MICE Visa Prepaid Card is a prepaid card requiring a top-up before use. The card has an issuance fee of THB 350, and users can easily top up via the Deep Pocket app, available on both iOS and Android platforms.
