ICCA Recognition of 40 Years’ Involvement of Thailand in Meetings Industry

Vichaya Soonthornsaratoon, Director of Meetings, Incentives and Conventions Department of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) receives a recognition of Thailand’s 40 years membership of International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), a body representing the main specialists in organizing, transporting and accommodating international meetings and events and comprising almost 1,000 member companies and organizations in over 90 countries worldwide.

The recognition was presented by Mr. Arnaldo Nardone, President of ICCA and Mr. Martin Sirk, CEO of ICCA, during the 53rd General Assembly of ICCA, which takes place in Antalya, Turkey between 1st and 5th November, 2014.

Since TCEB was set up to oversee Thailand’s MICE industry in 2002, Thailand’s membership of ICCA formerly held by Tourism Authority of Thailand since 1974 was transferred to TCEB.
