Team Thailand at World Congress on Pain 2024 in Amsterdam, Reaffirming Bangkok's Readiness to Welcome 5,000 Delegates to Thailand in 2026

Recently (on 9 August), at the World Congress on Pain 2024 closing at RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, Netherlands, Prof. Andrew Rice, President of the International Association for the Study of Pain made an official announcement that Bangkok, Thailand is the next host destination of World Congress on Pain 2026 which is scheduled to take place between 27-31 October 2026.

Team Thailand, graciously led by H.E. Mr. Asi Mamanee, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Netherlands was then invited to the stage for a handover ceremony where H.E. Mr. Mamanee delivered a welcome remark and confirmed Thailand’s readiness to host World Congress on Pain 2026 in Bangkok. 

Also joining the stage ceremony and wowing a crowd of more than 5,000 delegates were representatives from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and the Thai Association for the Study of Pain, led by its President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sasikaan Nimmaanrat who also chairs the Local Organizing Committee for the World Congress of Pain 2026. 

The World Congress on Pain is the largest gathering of pain professionals in the world, bringing together more than 5,000 scientists, clinicians, and healthcare providers from around the world and across pain disciplines. To learn more, visit www.iasp-pain.org
