Over 50 International Associations Assemble
At UIA Associations Round Table Asia-Pacific 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand
Almost 80 representatives from over 50 associations and organizations across Asia, Europe and Australia have confirmed to attend UIA Associations Round Table Asia-Pacific 2015 during 29-30 September, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.
This is the third time of Belgium-based Union of International Associations (UIA) to organize its educational event outside Europe and the first time for Thailand to host UIA Round Table. Its objective is to bring together representatives of international associations from around the world to learn practical skills and share experiences that will make associations a better organization in a challenging world. The event will start with the keynote from UN representative, Ms. Laura Lopez, Director of Strategic Publications, Communications and Advocacy at Bangkok-based United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). She will be speaking on “International Associations: Pioneering Roles in Society”. The panel discussion of the event will feature a variety of perspectives on association management which will be delivered by speakers from Australia-based Associations Forum, Singapore Business Federation and Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) and UIA.
